Polling Stations Will Close Only When No One Remains in the Lines

Journalists from Venezuela report that the polling stations will not close until anybody remain in the line to test the electoral system, so the process may extend to the 21H30.

The president of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Elvis Amoroso, from the Andrés Bello High School, in Caracas, as part of the tour he makes with other members of the institution, highlighted the massive participation of the people of Venezuela and the deployment of equipment that managed to have machinery in every corner of the country.

“We are absolutely certain that this election, which we are launching today, will be a successful one on 28 July. There will be elections here on July 28. Long live the homeland!

The vice president of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Carlos Quintero, announced that the simulation of voting met the three objectives established: participation, voting times and connections. He highlighted a satisfactory average voting per voter, between 38 and 42 seconds, and the successful test of the National Totalization Centers, the media to transmit the election results, the data transmission network and security mechanisms.

The Venezuelan president, Nicolás Maduro Moros, on a tour of the streets of the city of Caracas, in a fraternal sharing with the people. In this sense, the head of State applauded the massive participation of Venezuelans in this electoral simulation, in view of the presidential race of July 28, 2024.

Even the opposition candidate Luis Eduardo Martínez highlighted this Sunday’s electoral drill, after participating in a simulation for the elections, that the voting system is a “friendly process, simple, very fast, and that it is worth approaching to practice for the presidential elections.”
